Overview

SnapPress is a WordPress media uploader app for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how SnapPress handles your data.

Data Collection

The SnapPress iOS app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. The app operates entirely between your iPhone and your WordPress server. No photos, credentials, or usage data pass through SnapPress servers.

The SnapPress Connect WordPress plugin contains two optional forms. They send data only when you fill one in and press the button. Nothing is sent in the background. See WordPress Plugin below.

WordPress Plugin (SnapPress Connect)

The plugin's settings screen includes two optional forms. Both are strictly opt-in: the plugin transmits nothing unless you enter an address and press the button yourself.

  • Support request — offered when your site cannot connect. If you submit it, we receive the email address you enter, your site URL, your description of the problem, and diagnostic details about the failure (WordPress and PHP versions, and whether Application Passwords are available). We use this only to reply to you and to fix the problem.
  • Email updates — if you opt in, we receive the email address you enter and your site URL, and send you setup tips and release notes.

This data is stored in an email system (Mautic) that we host ourselves on infrastructure operated by 37design Inc. in Japan. We do not sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. To have your record deleted, unsubscribe or email [email protected].

Photo Uploads

Photos you upload are sent directly from your device to your WordPress server via the WordPress REST API over HTTPS. SnapPress does not intercept, copy, or store your photos on any intermediary server.

Credentials Storage

Your WordPress site URL and Application Password are stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device only. These credentials are never transmitted to SnapPress servers or any third party. They are used solely to authenticate with your WordPress site.

Analytics and Tracking

SnapPress does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect usage data, device information, or any form of telemetry. The plugin does not report on your site in the background; the only data we ever receive from it is what you type into one of the two forms described above and submit yourself.

Third-Party Data Sharing

SnapPress does not share any data with third parties. The only network communication is between your device and your WordPress server, initiated by you.

Data Deletion

You can remove all stored credentials by deleting your site registrations within the app, or by uninstalling the app. All Keychain data associated with SnapPress will be removed.
