What Is SnapPress?
SnapPress is a dedicated iOS app that lets you upload up to 20 photos to your WordPress Media Library in a single tap. No browser. No logging in through Safari. No waiting for one photo to finish before starting the next.
If you run a WordPress blog, an online store, or a business website — and you take photos on your iPhone — SnapPress is built for you.
The Problem We Set Out to Solve
Uploading photos to WordPress from a phone has always been painful. The WordPress admin was designed for desktop browsers, not touchscreens. The official WordPress app has authentication headaches and slow sequential uploads. And uploading photos one at a time through a mobile browser is simply not a workflow — it's a chore.
We timed it: uploading 20 photos to WordPress the traditional way takes around 15 minutes on a phone. With SnapPress, the same task takes about 30 seconds.
How SnapPress Works
The setup is intentionally simple:
- Install the SnapPress Connect plugin on your WordPress site. It generates a QR code that links your site to the app. Download the plugin here.
- Scan the QR code with SnapPress to register your site in seconds. No manual URL entry. No copying and pasting credentials.
- Select up to 20 photos from your camera roll and tap Upload. That's it.
Authentication uses WordPress Application Passwords — a built-in feature since WordPress 5.6. Your login credentials are never stored in the app. You can revoke access at any time from your WordPress dashboard.
Key Features at Launch
- Batch upload: Upload up to 20 photos in a single tap
- QR code site registration: Register any WordPress site by scanning a QR code
- Multi-site support: Manage and switch between multiple WordPress sites
- Share Extension: Upload directly from the Photos app — no need to open SnapPress first
- 3 image quality levels: Choose Original, Medium, or Small to balance quality and file size
- Real-time progress: Watch each photo upload with clear progress indicators
Works With Your Existing WordPress Setup
SnapPress is built on WordPress's standard REST API and Application Password system. It works with:
- Self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) — any hosting provider
- WordPress.com Business plan and above
- WooCommerce (uploads go to the Media Library, ready to assign to products)
- All major page builders: Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, and more
No special hosting configuration required. If your WordPress site is running version 5.6 or later, SnapPress will work.
Pricing
SnapPress is a one-time purchase at $2.99. No subscription. No monthly fees. No account required beyond your existing WordPress login. Buy it once, use it forever — including all future updates.
